At The Five Towns Wellness Center we created a safe, private place to treat an individual’s needs with the specific care necessary to help conquer obstacles to health and happiness. FTWC was established in order to provide comprehensive psychological care to children and families while treating problems such as anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, ADHD, oppositional behavior, and developmental disorders. We provide therapy and tools for living that children and adults can use to better cope with life’s challenges such as divorce, illness, and loss. Our goal is to help our clients develop practical skills and inner strength so they may live their best possible reality. If you or your child is struggling call us for a phone consultation. There is no need to feel alone. At FTWC, we are always here for you.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, or alone?
Have you reached the limit of what you can deal with? Do you wish you felt more
fulfilled and content? The moment you schedule an intake appointment at 5TWC,
you are no longer alone. A competent professional will help you access the
strength that you already have within you.
Assessment // During the initial assessment, your therapist will listen carefully and never judge you. You will be encouraged to share the nature of your current challenge, as well as a personal history. You may be asked to complete clinically proven psychological questionnaires that are designed to measure the intensity and the nature of your current challenge.
Individualized Treatment Plan // Your therapist will guide you toward setting goals for your time in therapy,
and will explain the exact techniques that will be used in order to help you achieve those goals. You will be
welcomed to share any questions or feedback with your therapist on a regular basis.
Does your child seem unhappy, defiant, anxious, or insecure? Is his or her teacher concerned about social or emotional performance? Don’t let your child suffer from emotional disturbances that can be treated in our care. Our work is 100% confidential, always administered with the highest standards of professionalism and privacy.
How It Works // We offer an assessment process that will help to pinpoint the exact cause of your child’s school or home based challenges. The assessment process is designed to systematically rule out a range of possible hypotheses in order to find the root of the problem. At 5TWC, children are assessed and treated in a fully equipped play therapy room. They are offered the chance to express themselves through a range of art and play therapy modalities, as well as verbal communication. They are also given clinically proven psychological questionnaires that evaluate factors such self-esteem, anxiety, depression, focus, and disruptive behavior.
At the conclusion of the comprehensive assessment process, parents receive the therapist’s conclusion, as well as a detailed description of all of the factors that contributed to the conclusion. Then, the therapist and parents work together to create a targeted plan for addressing the child’s needs.
A trained observer is available to discreetly observe children in school or camp settings. Observations include a detailed written report indicating children’s on and off task behavior, as well as interactions with authority figures and peers.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration with other professionals involved in clinical treatment such as occupational therapists, psychiatrists, and organizations.
Testing in order to assess need for therapy or other
intervention in children and adults.
