More than 50% of Americans experience a traumatic event that may lead to PTSD, and 7-8% of the population develops PTSD at some point in their lives. In our current political and social climate, trauma training has become an essential part of the psychotherapist's repertoire. Dr. Gluck has been treating complex trauma and dissociation for more than a decade, and has been trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, Expressive Therapies among other trauma focused treatment modalities.
This Introductory Trauma Course is geared to provide concrete skills for treating clients who have experienced trauma and dissociation. This course will cover effective techniques for intervention, while providing context by exploring the neurobiology of trauma. This one-day session will include experiential learning of techniques that can be brought right into session with child and adult clients.
